Als Illustrator, Cartoonist und Produzent von Erklär- und Promotionsvideos hatte ich die Freude und Ehre, ein einzigartiges Hand-gezeichnetes Erklärvideo für das Zürich Gym zu erstellen. Das Fitnessstudio wird von Inhaber und Europameister Frank Müller geleitet, der nicht nur ein erfahrener Personal Trainer, sondern auch ein Experte für Sporternährung ist. Er ist auch ein alter und guter persönlicher Freund von mir, so hat es Spass gemacht ihn in meinem Video mit mehreren handgezeichneten Porträts zu verewigen.
Das Zürich Gym – Hurt Locker – 24 Stunden geöffnet – ist ein erstklassiges Fitnessstudio, welches seinen Kunden ein volles Topp-Programm bietet. Dank der neuesten Fingerprint-Sicherheitstechnologie können Kunden jederzeit das Studio betreten und ihre Trainingseinheiten beginnen.
Das Ziel des Erklär- und Promotionsvideos war es, in spielerischer Weise auf die Vorteile des ZürichGym aufmerksam zu machen und potenzielle Kunden anzusprechen.

Various Designs for John Hennigan by Ian David Marsden
I had the pleasure of creating another cool wrestling shirt design for the legendary wrestler John Hennigan, who is also known as Johnny Impact, Johnny Nitro, Johnny Mundo, and most recently as the mayor of SLAMTOWN. This time around, the shirt design is titled “SLAMTOWN Office of Mayor”, featuring a striking illustration of a skull and crossbones, adorned with Johnny’s trademark sunglasses with crosses on the lenses.
Creating this shirt design for John was an amazing experience. He is one of the easiest and most amazing clients I have ever had the pleasure of working for. He trusts my creativity and lets me use my imagination, allowing me to create designs that truly capture his essence as a wrestler and entertainer.
John Hennigan is a true wrestling legend, with a career spanning over two decades. He has won numerous championships across different wrestling promotions, including WWE, Impact Wrestling, and Lucha Underground. He has also ventured into acting, appearing in movies and TV shows such as “Boone: The Bounty Hunter” and “Survivor”.
This is not the first time I’ve worked with John. In fact, I previously designed a wrestling shirt for him titled “This is My World” featuring his Johnny Mundo persona. It was a fun and challenging project that allowed me to push my creative limits and come up with a design that captured John’s persona perfectly.

In conclusion, it was an absolute honor to work with John Hennigan again and create a cool wrestling shirt design that represents his new role as the mayor of SLAMTOWN. I hope you enjoy them. These are all created with pen and ink, ballpoint pen, pencils and other traditional methods. I do sometimes scan them and color them in photoshop, but most of these are also colored with watercolor, ecoline and aquarelle / goache.
These are all just fun, free drawings that I like to do sometimes to relax and clear my mind. These were not commissioned. Often I don’t even know what it will be when I start drawing.
I guess since I am working in digital art programs with my Wacom Cintiq most of the time, these little exercises also s to show myself that I still know how to do it “old-school”. 😊

Can you believe that it’s November again? It seems like the months have just flown by since I last sat down to write you a few lines from my illustration studio.
I’ve been having a lot of fun doing freehand sketches between projects. Here are some glimpses into my sketchbooks and Moleskines.
I’ve been posting some of my doodles to my Facebook page and sometimes I also upload short videos of my sketching to my YouTube channel.
This year we created a 12 page comic which continues the adventures of the main protagonists, Michael, Anne, Stefan and Julia and their Dfreeeze car heater remote control application.
Regular client Sanafort AG (a renowned Swiss producer of natural Reishi mushroom and other tonic herbs and food supplements) needed website and newsletter graphics for Christmas and the New Year and to advertise upcoming product launches and promotions.
As always they allowed me a lot of creative freedom and I think the results are quite elegant.
My very good personal friend Helmi Sigg, Swiss actor, comedian, writer and renaissance man has partnered with STEINER Meats to create their own delicious Swiss-made twist on New York Style pastrami.
He entrusted me to create the logo for this culinary delight which is aptly named ‘Pastrelmi’ after it’s creator.
The last few weeks have been very exciting on a personal level, as we have been preparing for my first exhibition of original drawings in quite a while.
Over 60 pieces of artwork are on display in the exhibition, organized by the Association Artistique Monet at the Espace George Brassens in St Gely du Fesc (Montpellier).
I am exhibiting together with famous French cartoonist Ptiluc and two German artists, Heike Negenborn and Carmen Stahlschmidt.
