In May 2026, I created a hand-drawn 4K explainer video introducing the book’s core framework and inviting viewers into the larger world of Men Harvesting Wisdom. The video was produced from the approved narration as a complete illustrated film: visual development, scene planning, original illustration, symbolic motifs, chapter transitions, title and text graphics, animation, editing and final assembly.

A book and framework for men facing change, transition and deeper self-leadership
At the centre of Men Harvesting Wisdom is The 10 Heroic Dimensions of Transformational Self-Leadership: identity, values, meaning, purpose, self-care, roles, vision, execution, willingness and legacy. Together they form a practical map for men who want to examine their lives with greater honesty, direction and responsibility.
The book speaks to men facing career disruption, personal loss, family change, post-military transition, questions of direction, or the quieter realization that an outwardly functional life may still require deeper alignment. Its tone is reflective rather than performative. It offers a framework for inner work, disciplined reflection and mature self-understanding.
That gave the film a clear visual task: to make the framework understandable without reducing it to slogans. The material contains ideas that are abstract but not vague — maps, thresholds, identity, legacy, choice, endurance, willingness and direction. Each needed a visual form that could unfold naturally in sequence.
A bespoke visual treatment for a serious body of thought
The approved narration already carried the conceptual structure of the film. My role was to develop the visual architecture around it: deciding what each section needed to show, where a symbolic image would serve better than literal illustration, how the ten dimensions should be introduced, and how the film could move from personal reflection to an invitation into the book and its wider teaching platform.
The visual language draws on maps, compasses, thresholds, journeys, reflective portraiture, tools, craft and legacy. These motifs give form to the central idea of the book: self-leadership as a lived process of orientation, choice and responsibility.
Some images are character-led: men considering their roles, facing change, reflecting on family, work, service or the next stage of life. Others are symbolic: a doorway, a bridge, a forge, a compass, a wheel of dimensions. Together they create a visual rhythm that supports the framework without over-explaining it.
The production called for a made-to-measure visual language: clean editorial linework, controlled tone, restrained character acting, clear title graphics and animation paced closely to the narration. The aim was not to decorate the voice-over, but to build a coherent illustrated film around the book’s own structure.
A complete 4K production from narration to final film
Starting from the approved narration, I developed the visual breakdown, planned the scene structure, created the original illustrations, built recurring symbols and chapter transitions, prepared title and text graphics, animated the sequences and assembled the finished film in 4K.

The film had to introduce a substantial book and teaching framework, explain its central structure, and invite people to continue exploring the material through the official Men Harvesting Wisdom platform. That required visual pacing, hierarchy, tone and a clear sense of how one idea leads to the next.
The map, the compass, the threshold, the wheel of dimensions, the forge and the reflective male figures all belong to the same conceptual space. They act as visual anchors for a philosophy that asks men to examine where they are, what they value, what they are building and what they will leave behind.
