Custom Band Logo with Caricatures, Merchandise Design, and Illustrated Identity for Musicians
When Andy Boller — renowned blues pianist, singer, and former contestant on The Voice of Germany — approached me to create a custom band logo for his group Take the 55, I knew this would be a fun and high-energy project. The brief? A fully illustrated band scene with caricatures of each band member, integrated into a cohesive and memorable visual identity they could use on T-shirts, merchandise, posters, flyers, and digital platforms.

I’ve always loved combining comic art, mascot-style character design, and branded illustrations — and this project hit all the marks. From photographic references, I created hand-drawn caricatures of the musicians and placed them inside a classic Volkswagen bus, cruising down the symbolic Route 55.

This kind of illustrated band branding works across mediums: print, apparel, social media profiles, tour posters, and even promotional videos. It helps build a cohesive brand identity that’s both playful and professional, which audiences instantly recognize and connect with.
If you’re a musician or part of a performance group looking for personalized, illustrated branding, let’s talk. I’ve worked on high-visibility projects including Red Bull campaigns, corporate mascot systems, and editorial cartooning for major global clients. From standalone caricatures to multi-character comic scenes, my work brings energy, narrative, and character to every visual touchpoint.
