RITZENHOFF Beer Glass Design – Viking Weizenbier by Ian David Marsden

As part of the RITZENHOFF Designer Collection, I had the pleasure of designing a unique Weizenbier (wheat beer) glass featuring a playful Viking character. This collectible design combines my background in illustration and character design with RITZENHOFF’s tradition of creating high-quality, functional glassware that doubles as art.

Design Concept

The glass features a bold Viking illustration complete with a metallic gold helmet, sword, and axe. To balance the composition, sparkling golden beer glass motifs float on either side, emphasizing the celebratory spirit of Weizenbier culture. The artwork was created exclusively for RITZENHOFF and showcases the brand’s mix of humor, elegance, and collectible design.

Packaging & Extras

Each glass ships in a black RITZENHOFF designer tube and comes with five custom beer coasters featuring the matching Viking artwork and my signature on the reverse. This makes it not just a drinking glass, but a true collector’s piece.
