Inktober 2026, Day 28: TROPHY 🏆
A little visual wordplay, with a touch of gold.
The last few days of Inktober 2026! I’ve been too busy to follow every daily prompt this year, but on October 28 I found time for a quick sketch for “Trophy.” Here’s the finished drawing, along with a 30-second timelapse.

Inktober and the sketchbook
Inktober is an annual October drawing challenge built around daily word prompts. Artists share their own interpretations, making the same word a starting point for all kinds of drawings, cartoons and illustrations.
I’ve been participating for years, fitting drawings around my commissioned work whenever I can. Some years I manage more than others. As a cartoonist and illustrator, I enjoy having a word to play with and seeing where the drawing goes.
These personal drawings belong alongside the doodles, character sketches and experiments in my sketchbook. There isn’t a client brief or a deadline to meet—just a prompt and a chance to draw.
