Wacom has long been at the forefront of digital creativity, providing interactive pen displays, tablets, and apps that empower artists around the world. As an illustrator, cartoonist, and comic artist, I’ve always been passionate about combining creativity with cutting-edge technology, and Wacom has been my trusted companion throughout my journey. My story with Wacom began in 2000, while working in Santa Monica, California. Armed with a dual G5 Mac and a Wacom Intuos tablet, I quickly realized how Wacom’s tools enhanced my workflow with their precision and responsiveness. That initial connection has grown over the years, with Wacom’s innovative products—like the Cintiq 24 pen display and later the Cintiq 27QHD touch—allowing me to refine my techniques and push the boundaries of my digital artistry.
As Wacom’s technology evolved, so did my craft. Their tools have been pivotal in transforming the way I work, enabling me to create with a level of spontaneity, control, and precision that simply wasn’t possible before. This mutual affinity led to an exciting opportunity when Wacom invited me to become an ambassador for their brand, sharing my experience and love for their products with the global artist community.
During our collaboration, I was honored to be featured as a Wacom Featured Artist, showcased on their official homepage and blog. I also had the pleasure of creating a series of tutorial videos where I walked through my digital workflow, using software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Clip Studio Paint (formerly Manga Studio), and Autodesk Sketchbook Pro. These videos, highlighted on Wacom’s platforms, offered both beginners and seasoned artists a deeper look at how Wacom’s tools can elevate their creative process.
Although my dedicated Wacom Featured Artist page and tutorials were removed following a redesign of their website in November 2015, I’ve preserved these resources here for anyone interested in a retrospective view of our partnership and my creative process.
For me, Wacom’s products have been more than just tools—they’ve been an essential part of my artistic journey, helping me bring ideas to life with greater ease and expression. I’m grateful for the chance to share my experiences with the broader Wacom community and hope my work continues to inspire others to explore the endless possibilities of digital art.
